Disconnecting removes PostPilot's access to your Instagram account right away:
Go to Connections in PostPilot and choose Disconnect next to your Instagram account.
- Your stored Instagram access and refresh tokens are wiped immediately from PostPilot's database.
- The connection is marked disconnected, so no further publishing or validation can occur.
- You can also revoke access at any time from your Meta account settings; PostPilot will then fail closed and ask you to reconnect.
- Posts: cancel or delete posts from the Posts and Calendar screens. Drafts can be permanently hard-deleted.
- Uploaded media: uploaded images and videos can be removed; removing media deletes both the database record and the stored file.
- Design References: reference images can be deleted individually from the Design References screen (database record and stored file are both removed).
- Schedules: cancelling a post also cancels its open scheduled publishing jobs, so nothing further will publish.
To delete everything PostPilot stores about your workspace — brand profile, ideas, content, media files, schedules, Autopilot settings, connection records and tokens, performance snapshots, learning signals, and sessions on every device — open Settings in PostPilot and choose Delete workspace, then confirm. The deletion runs immediately and signs every device out.
Alternatively, to request deletion without signing in (for example if you lost access), use the Privacy Policy contact form (choose “Delete my data”). It works without an account and without email setup.
Include enough detail to identify your workspace (e.g. the brand name shown in the app). On a verified request we delete workspace rows and stored files. Short-lived OAuth authorization states expire on their own within minutes and are single-use.
- Operational audit records (timestamps of actions such as scheduling or publishing, without message content or credentials) may be retained briefly for service integrity and then removed with the workspace on a full deletion request.
- Server/hosting logs and database backups, where the deployment environment keeps them, age out on that environment's rotation schedule and are not used for any other purpose.
- Content already published to Instagram lives on Meta's platform — remove it from within Instagram itself; PostPilot cannot delete posts from your Instagram account.
- Login identity records: workspace deletion keeps a minimal identity spine (user and workspace identifiers without content) so the service keeps working. If you signed in with Google and want that residual login identity removed too, ask through the Privacy Policy contact form and we complete it manually after verifying ownership.
Use the Privacy Policy contact form for any deletion question — it works even if you cannot sign in. Also see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
